What is a tincture?
A (herbal) tincture is a concentrated liquid extract of plant material that has been dissolved in ethanol for a specific period of time. The purpose of the ethanol is to extract the medicinal properties of the plant.
Do your products contain alcohol?
All our herbal tinctures do contain a small amount of alcohol. This is used extract the medicinal aspects f each plant. It is also a preservative for the herbs.
Where do you source your ingredients from?
All our tinctures and dried herbs are sourced from medical-grade UK suppliers. Each herb has been tested for constituents to ensure quality assurance for medical herbalists.
Are your products certified organic?
We make great efforts to source the best types of tinctures. Tinctures that are organic are labelled as such.
Are your products vegetarian/vegan?
Our products are suitable for vegans and vegetarians.
How do I take the tinctures?
Each one of our tincture products has a specific recommended dose. The instructions are listed on the website and labelled on each product. This should be taken as directed. We recommend that tinctures are taken with water.
Do you sell loose herbs?
We sell a small selection of loose herbs on our website. You can purchase our Allergy Tea Mix in our shop or the individual herbs.
Can I make an order over the phone?
The quickest ordering service we provide is via our online shop. Our herbal dispensary is only available to take orders over the phone on Mondays 10 - 5pm and Thursdays between 4pm - 7pm.
Do you offer a subscription service?
We do not offer a subscription service option. However we are currently working on a refill service which will offer our customers a discount. Sign up for our news letters and we will keep you posted.
What payment methods are available?
We accept all major credit and debit cards. American Express?
Are there any discounts/code-discount on first orders?
We do not have an on-going discount code, however if you sign up for our news letter we will keep you informed of any offers that come up seasonally.
My order has not arrived?
All orders take 3 - 5 working days, if you have not received your order within this time frame, please send us an e-mail and we will trace the order for you.
Refunds/Returns
Due to the medicinal nature of our products, we are unable to process returns and refunds for any products ordered and delivered. Please contact us if you have any questions about your order.
Why should I order from Wise Botanics?
All our products are formulated, dosed and dispensed by qualified medical herbalists. We source our high quality herbs from reputable, long standing herbal suppliers who supply herbs to qualified herbalists.
Do you deliver outside the United Kingdom?
We currently only ship orders within the United Kingdom.
What the shipping rates?
3-5 day delivery - £6.99
Do you offer a next day delivery service?
We do not offer this option, however if you would like to collect your order quicker, you can collect your order during opening hours direct from The Haelan Organic food store where our dispensary is located.
Please note - This same day collection service is only available on Mondays and between 10am - 5pm and Thursdays between 4pm and 7pm on Thursdays.
Can I place an order and arrange for it to be delivered to a different address from my billing address?
Yes, fill out the relevant sections and you will receive your order to your chosen location.
